One solution, no guessing

A solver checks every puzzle to make sure it has exactly one answer, then grades it by the hardest technique it needs. That grade decides the level. New to Sudoku? Read how to play.

Is Best Sudoku free?

Yes. Every puzzle and feature is free. There are no ads and no sign-up.

Does it work offline?

Yes. After your first visit the game is stored on your device, so you can keep playing without a connection.

Where is my progress saved?

In your browser on this device. Clearing your browser's site data resets it. You can copy a backup of your progress from Settings.

What happens when I make a mistake?

With Mark mistakes on, a wrong number gets stripes and a dot, and you can undo it. If you turn on a mistake limit of three or five, running out lets you finish as practice, but the solve won’t count toward XP or your streak.

Do I ever have to guess?

No. Every puzzle has exactly one solution and can be finished with logic alone.
